People send themselves to Hell by their God-defying or God-rejecting sin. God is trying to rescue you, but He won't force you. He's offering you the free gift of a way to avoid Hell. His plan for you, which you have the option to accept, involves the best kind of lifestyle most satisfying in the long run. It embraces the healthiest of relationships, the fun and enjoyment of wholesome fellowship and a meaningful occupation of integrity and service.
God is not merely loving. He is also just. Those who are hell-bent on defying God can incur His wrath:
"But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed." Romans 2:5
Would you want to live next door to Hitler in Heaven? I don't think so.
